Welcome to CompStreet!

At the end of each class period you will be responsible for posting a response to your homework readings. You may write about any of the following:

*your opinion of the piece
*a specific quote within the text
*how this information changes your perceptions
*the author's motive in writing the piece
*a question you have about the piece
*the significance of the piece

An alternative you will have as the semester goes on will be to blog about different subjects, songs, videos, quotes, or pictures that I post. From time to time I will find thought-provoking items and I want to hear your opinion! Your responses to these items could easily be used to help you write one of the four major essays.

After sharing your thoughts, see what someone else has to say. Feel free to comment on their blog. The most interesting blogs will be featured on my "Write On!" list.

3/16/11

Fun review today! Hope you're all more confident about what's expected on the midterm.

If you didn't bring the draft of your short story paper with my comments on it, do so on Friday. Also, remember all papers must be submitted to Turnitin if you want credit. EVEN IF YOU GIVE ME A HARD COPY, YOU WILL GET A ZERO IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS!

Midterm on Friday.

Read Macbeth Acts I-III for Monday and blog a response. I'll have a few prompts up later this week.

Also, your grades are posted on D2L if you want to know where you stand in the class right now.
